So…today, a quartet of very nicely made renders showing a racer with a front end, which in my eyes, heavily resembles that of the Corvette Stingray, surfaced online.

Most of the sites that reported about the car dubbed “Dubai Roadster”, including Motorauthority and Top Speed, cited Worldcarfans as the source, which itself, pointed to a tipster named “Mariam” as the source without providing any hard info.

Maybe I’m being overly cautious (can you blame me?), but reading all these articles, one is left with far more questions than answers, beginning with a very basic one: who made this car – and no, “an unnamed Emirati racer” doesn’t cut it as an adequate answer.

Yes, it may be for real and “perhaps” it “could make its debut at 2015’s Dubai Auto Show“, but for all we know, this might end up being just another independent conceptual drawing floating around the net.

Speaking of drawings, if you zoom on the upper section of the two doors, you’ll see that someone left his or her signature that ends in “DESIGN”, but unfortunately, we couldn’t make out what the rest of it says.

Understandably, until we gather more information (if you have something, please do share), we’re going to have to leave a question mark on the Dubai Roadster.
