We don’t know what happened, but the same custom-built 1991 BMW M3 E30 Touring model that was purportedly sold for $45,000 by user wsbk996 on eBay back in the summer of 2012, has returned on the same seller’s auction list.

There’s a hidden reserve price for the faux M3 E30 Touring on eBay, with the highest bid currently standing at $25,100.

The only thing different about the car now are the two-tone instead of all-black wheels, a poor choice of aftermarket steering wheel in place on an AC Schnitzer unit, and supposedly, only 100 miles more on the odometer than now reads 105,000.

The conversion from regular E30 3-Series Touring to an M3 E30 aping-station wagon includes the exterior styling cues of the coupe like the expanded fenders on all four corners, side sills and bumpers, while under the hood, the tuner chose the newer M3 E36’s 3.0-liter straight six in Euro specification, which delivers 282hp (286PS) and is paired to a five-speed manual.
