Since Audi doesn’t see a market for an RS8 luxury sedan, it’s up to tuners like ABT to fill the need for speed with improved versions of the S8, which received a nip and tuck just last year.
ABT Sportsline’s headliner for the S8 is an engine kit that gives the 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 an extra 120-horses and 130Nm of peak torque bringing the grand total to 632hp (640PS) and 780Nm (575 lb-ft) respectively.
The Germans didn’t say how long it takes for the improved S8 to speed up to 100km/h or 62mph (the stock 512hp/520PS does it in 4.2 seconds), but they did mention that they increased the top speed limiter to 280km/h (174mph).
The rest of the mods for the S8 include a selection of 20-inch wheels running on beefy tires, a four-pipe exhaust system and an electronic module that lowers the suspension by another 25mm.
