What are the chances of the BMW i8 hybrid-electric sports car landing on the radar of the tuning industry? Well, right now, we’re getting the sense that tuners are in stand by mode, waiting for more reviews, initial sales numbers and how interested the public will be once the initial wow-factor tones down to see how they will proceed.
For what it’s worth, Lumma Design was the first to release a rendered attempt, but avoided mentioning anything about bringing the tune to life.
The Photoshops you see here were made by/for tuners ML24 and ISS Forged, and PS-Garage, and they show a bright-yellow i8 digitally altered to wear an aftermarket ground effects kit made from carbon fiber and a selection of different rims and tires that fill up the wheel arches.
