Bringing together 34 cars from all corners of the industry and recording what they sound like when starting up was the basic premise for the video posted below. It racked up almost 500,000 views in less than a week, despite the fact that it doesn’t really show any action per se.
You really have to like cars in order to fully enjoy videos like this…
The cars featured are, as previously mentioned, a varied mix of styles and ages, with engines ranging from smooth straight-sixes to the mad, uneven idle of the Saleen S7 twin turbo.
There’s definitely a style of sound for everybody; which startup do you think has the highest sense of occasion of the lot? The Porsche Carrera GT, which sounds closest to an actual V10 racing car could be it, but what else?
