Enzo Ferrari could soon get his very own biographical movie (or biopic), if Cecchi Gori Pictures, operating out of LA, gets back to work on it. Apparently, they’re already moving forward, with the intent of turning it into “a Godfather movie with racing in it,” according to the company CEO, Niels Juul.

Apparently, the director has already been selected, and his name will be revealed shortly. At the moment, the script is being polished up, locations are being scouted and sponsors are being convinced to give.

From what we understand from Variety, the plot will loosely revolve around the 1991 book by Brock Yates, called “Enzo Ferrari: The Man, the Cars, the Races.”

It all seems promising enough, but details are currently still sparse, so we’ll have to wait for additional (confirmed) information in order to make informed judgments about what it will be like. However, since they haven’t even started filming yet, the road to the first trailer has to be measured in months and years.
