As it turns out, watching performance cars attending local events can be a hazardous leisure pursuit – just off the top of our head, we recall incidents with a De Tomaso in Sweden, a Ford Mustang in Britain, a Ferrari 458 in Brazil, a Koenigsegg CCX in Poland and Mazda RX-7 Veilside in Japan.
At the Haspengouw Tour 2014 Supercar gathering in Belgium, the driver of a BMW M5 E60 V10 (possibly tuned by Hamann Motorsports) wanted to give photographers something to remember him by – and he did, but not in the way they imagined.
YouTube author “JEWETHE” elaborates:
“At a car event today this BMW M5 E60 lost control and NEARLY HIT THE CROWD! That was a really close call! In the video you will see the BMW M5 E60 nearly crashing into two people who were watching the cars leave, as well as arriving at the event with some nice engine sounds! Luckily nobody got hurt in this nearly crash!”
If you can’t wait, the incident occurs just after the 1:20 minute mark.
