This is the all-new, fourth generation of Mercedes-Benz’s C-Class Estate (or T Model) that was unofficially revealed through a set of…official photos today.
Based on the underpinnings of the W205 codenamed C-Class, the sleek station wagon is 96mm longer at 4,702mm (185.1 inches) and 40mm wider at 1,810mm (71.2 inches) yet up to 65kg (143 pounds) lighter than the model it replaces.
We haven’t laid our hands on the press release yet, but a number of magazines that have, including the UK’s Autocar and Germany’s AMS, say it has 45mm more legroom as well as additional shoulder and headroom over the outgoing model.
Boot capacity is also up by 5 liters to 490 liters with the rear seats in position and by 10 liters to 1,510 liters when folded down.
Unsurprisingly, all engines from the new sedan are carried over to the Estate and will include several diesel and petrol units like the 179hp 2.0-liter petrol in the C200 and the 2.1-liter diesel producing 168hp in the C220 Bluetec and 201hp in the C250 Bluetec.
More info should trickle down on the net later on today.
