Nissan has announced full UK pricing for the e-NV200 battery-powered light commercial vehicle, which starts from £13,393 (€16,462) for the panel van in Acenta trim if the owner also opts for a flexible battery leasing option.
Available from July in both panel van or five-seat combi form, the Nissan e-NV200 combines the NV200’s cargo capacity with the all-electric drivetrain from the Leaf, allowing for running costs of 2 pence per mile ($3 cents per mile), according to Nissan.
That’s better than a conventional diesel van, with Nissan estimating that e-NV200 drivers will save up to £2,500 in fuel costs, while maintenance costs will be reduced by £575 based on servicing, parts and wear and tear. These calculations are based on a utilization period of 4 years with 9,375 miles (15,087 km) per year. Furthermore, e-NV200 owners will pay no road tax and will be exempt from the London Congestion Charge.
The e-NV200 can be bought outright (from £16,562.20) or with the “Flex” battery leasing option that reduces the initial purchase price. Those who choose the leasing scheme will pay a monthly battery rental starting from £61. In both cases, the e-NV200 qualifies for a Government grant of up to £8,000 Plug In Van Grant (PiVG) for the panel van, and up to £5,000 Plug In Car Grant (PiCG) for the five-seater combi.
