We know what you may be thinking as the same thing crossed our minds too – at a first glance, the pictured prototype seems like a regular Audi A6 Avant, but look closer and you’ll discover the familiar Allroad edition treats like the plastic moldings on the wheel arches, the taller roof rails, bespoke wheels and modified bumpers.
What changes for the 2015MY version of the A6 Allroad is a similar set of updates to the facelifted A7 Sportback that was introduced on Thursday. In particular, the Allroad gets its own version of Audi’s new ‘Singleframe’ grille with fewer slats this time, revised LED headlamps, plus tweaked tail lamps and rear bumper.
Inside, we expect Audi to offer its latest generation infotainment system, together with some new upholstery colors and trim options. Audi may also tweak the Allroad’s powertrains.
The refreshed A6 Allroad should make its world premiere in Paris this October.
