Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has recycled the Amarok Power concept for the Wörthersee GTI Meet by turning it into a mobile disco. The cargo area of the 5.25-meter long pickup truck is fitted with all the equipment necessary for parties at the…GTI Meet. The Amarok Power even features a mobile disc jockey set up with a total output of 5,000 watts.
As we are talking about a tuning event, the Amarok Power features styling updates including a Dynamic Gray metallic paint with high-gloss and matt accents, Gunmetal-painted mirror caps and 22-inch wheels (with 295/35 tires), orange-colored brake calipers, orange and black foiling on the doors and sills. Other design upgrades include the bi-xenon headlights with chrome inserts and the chrome-plated twin tailpipes.
On the inside, the VW Amarok Power has bucket seats covered with Nappa leather in black and orange, black Alcantara steering wheel and carbon fiber inserts. Details include the Amarok silhouette lasered on the headrests and a honeycomb motif on the center of the seats.
However, the truck’s main attraction is the bed, which includes a Xone: 92 Allen & Heath DJ equipment, a Pioneer CDJ900NXS players, two VOID ACOUSTICS Impulse 3t speakers and a Stasys Xair subwoofer and more.
The VW Amarok Power is quick too, as it is powered by the latest generation 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine which produces 272PS (268hp) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. Mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the powerplant propels the truck from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.9 seconds and to a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph).
