Yes, it’s the (now comparatively old) Pagani Huayra again; yes, it doesn’t sound as ear-tickling-pleasant as the non-turbo Zonda it eventually replaced, and yes it’s a bit over the top for some tastes (visually speaking), but there’s no denying it’s one of the great driving experiences of this generation – a bridge between old analog and new digital, all with a large helping of flamboyant Latin passion and a dash of just plain mad over the top.

Experienced in driver’s seat POV fashion, courtesy of Marchettino, the Huayra shines. The (slightly muted) twin-turbo V12 is not an engine you’d get bored of very quickly, not only because of the brutal acceleration it’s capable of providing, but also the many hisses, pops and wooshes that make it a very characterful unit in its own way.

Coupling all that to the look of the interior that is both modern and oh-so retro at the same time, plus the beautifully-shaped side mirrors complete the (brief, video) Huayra experience posted below.
