Like the Mercedes-Benz CL before it, the S-Class Coupe is based on the S-Class sedan, which should say enough about the level of luxury and comfort one gets with this car. But what is it like to drive?
Sure, no one expects supercar-sharp handling and hardcore sensations, as Mercedes’ large coupes have never been about that. Auto Express’ Mat Watson had the opportunity to drive a Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe and the first thing he said about the car is that it offers “unparalleled comfort”.
With standard air suspension, Magic Body Control and Active Curve Tilting, the big coupe isolates passengers from road surface imperfections and noise and cancels the “discomfort” of being pushed from one side to the other in the seat when tackling a twisty road. To put it simply, the car leans in the direction of the curve, just like a motorcycle, all in the name of passenger comfort.
Sure, the S 63 AMG Coupe is a very fast car, but in a different way than the brutal SLS AMG. Watch the video below to find out why.
