The second day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed featured many highlights. Gorgeous vehicles including LaFerrari, the 918 Spyder, and the Pagani Huayra all made appearances and drove around Lord March’s Estate. The Alfa Romeo 4C was also an anticipated attendant.
It is beautiful, well balanced, quick, and far more affordable than the six- and seven-figure vehicles that gain most of the headlines. The only thing Alfa did wrong was not getting a better driver for the 4C’s blitz around the makeshift track.
The Alfa Romeo was the only vehicle to crash on Day Two of the Festival. It happened at the Molcomb corner – known to be one of Goodwood’s most difficult and sudden turns.
Fortunately for driver and passenger, some of the many bales of hay effectively stopped the car before it could do serious damage. The occupants were unharmed, though the carbon fiber on the front of the car cracked, and the famously sealed bonnet popped open.
Check out the crash around the 8:57:40 mark in Day Two Coverage below. Feel free to scrub through the video to see more successful hill climb efforts.
