What appear to be official images of the all-new, second generation BMW X6 surfaced online this morning, prior to the sports crossover’s world premiere.
The new X6 has a more muscular and less rounded exterior appearance than the current model, borrowing styling cues from the similar, but smaller X4, and the X5, upon which it is based.
Not surprising, the dashboard is lifted straight off the latest generation X5, with the display model shown here featuring a two tone leather finish and an M Sport steering wheel.
According to a leaked internal document, the X6 will enter production late this fall as the xDrive35i with a 306PS (302hp) 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six and the xDrive50i with a 450PS (444hp) 4.4-liter turbocharged V8, with the rear wheel drive sDrive35i and the high-performance twin-turbo V8 X6M to follow early next year. Europe will also get diesel versions.
