The folks from Consumer Reports took a break from their rigorous car testing and tried to find the best car that can cure a midlife crisis. They narrowed down their search to five models, which they reckon are cheaper than most divorces.
The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is seen as the ideal car for the empty nester, as it is a no compromise sports car that also looks good. For those not willing to give up practicality, Consumer Reports recommends the Maserati Ghibli. With a Ferrari-developed engine and curvaceous Italian design, the Ghibli combines sportiness and luxury in an attractive way.
The third proposal is the Porsche Boxster, a roadster known for its razor-sharp handling, with the Ford Mustang also pushed as a great car for those who are experiencing a midlife crisis.
Finally, Consumer Reports has a surprising suggestion for those who don’t want a sports car: the Cadillac ATS. To find out why, watch the video posted below.
