If the idea of owning a regular, standard Tucson (also known as the ix35 in Europe) doesn’t fully satisfy you, then Hyundai is offering a special edition that’s been created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the launch of The Walking Dead graphic novel series.
All Tucson “The Walking Dead” special edition models come finished in an exclusive Ash Black exterior finish, with red accents and interior badges, as well as standard roof rails, to accommodate the larger of your possessions for when flee invading zombie hordes.
All-wheel drive is also standard, and its use in the undead apocalypse scenario is invaluable, as well.
However, power comes from a 2.4-liter Theta II direct-injection petrol engine, and there are no obligatory spikes on the grille and wheels. You really can’t sell a zombie-proof crossover without such basic walker-repelling amenities, can you? They aren’t even on the optional extras list…
Hyundai didn’t really think their tactic through until the end, though, because there will be nobody to answer the distress signal sent out by the SOS Emergency Assistance system it also comes equipped with.
