Elon Musk, the co-founder and CEO of Tesla, is pretty sure the UK will turn out to be his company’s biggest market in Europe. The reaction to the Model S has so far been a positive one, even if the automaker didn’t have a right-hand drive (RHD) model on display or for test drives.
Now, the first five RHD models ever have been delivered to customers who can easily charge their car at home, since the promised Supercharger network is still at the pins-on-a-map state. It is coming, though, bearing the promise of covering the south of the Isles first, then moving into the north and Ireland.
The only thing left to do now is to get the car featured on Top Gear… We’re curious what they’re going to do with it this time. Pure speculation, obviously, but Top Gear should feature the Model S in the next season simply because it’s a new and interesting car available for purchase in their country. If they don’t, then we’ll know something’s up and what little credibility they still had as a proper (at best vaguely factual) motoring show will wear even thinner.
