Originally displayed at the 2012 International Tokyo Toy Show with an updated version exhibited at the same event last year, the Toyota Camatte is described as a “customizable, sporty, family-oriented concept” that was designed “for all ages to drive and enjoy”.

Think of the Camatte as a very high-tech electric car for kids that beats your simplistic pedal car every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

The third iteration of the Camatte series that will debut at the 2014 International Tokyo Toy Show, which runs from June 12 to 15, has been uprated with a new bonnet jam-packed with hundreds of LEDs.

During the show, visitors will be able to create their own digital designs and see them reproduced on the car’s hood.
