Volkswagen has added a special series model to its pickup lineup called Amarok Ultimate, inspired by one of its recent studies, which features comprehensive equipment and a more aggressive appearance.
The VW Amarok Ultimate is easy to recognize thanks to its modified front end featuring new bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED lighting strip and additional chrome elements.
Inspired by the Amarok Power concept, these new headlights can now also be ordered for all other Amarok models. Based on the Amarok Highline, the Ultimate adds styling elements including two twin chrome bars on the radiator grille, silver wing mirror covers, darkened rear lights with LED number plate illumination, polished 19-inch “Aragonit” alloy wheels with 255/55 tyres, special lettering, a silver-colored design underbody guard and chrome styling bar and sill sidebars.
Standard equipment includes ParkPilot with Rear Assist reversing camera, electric folding and heated wing mirrors, alarm system, heated front seats and the “RNS 315” navigation system complete with mobile phone preparation. The cabin also features anthracite and titanium black Alcantara seat covers and special cut-pile floor mats. The Amarok Ultimate is available with six body colors: Candy White, Natural Grey, Reflex Silver, Starlight Blue, Toffee Brown and Deep Black.
The special model offers two engine choices – two TDI units with 138 hp and 177 hp combined with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, manual or automatic transmission. Prices in Germany for the Amarok Ultimate start from €41,376.30 ($56,042), including 19 percent VAT.
Besides the new Amarok Ultimate, VW also added two new models in the lineup: the Amarok SingleCab with 8-speed automatic transmission combined with permanent all-wheel drive and the 177 hp TDI and the equally powerful versions of the rear-wheel drive variants of the Amarok (SingleCab and DoubleCab).
