About a year before its market launch, the upcoming Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 (or GT 350 or SVT) has been caught doing rounds of the Nurburgring Nordchleife once again, only this time, it was also accompanied by another Mustang prototype – albeit one with a much smaller body-kit and a different exhaust note.
Speaking of exhausts, the 2016 Mustang Shelby seems to have a soundtrack that can be heard from miles away even in the forest region of the Nordschleife. Some would say that it sounds a bit over the top for a street car that, but I say that it sounds just like every other V8-powered American sports car should – reassuring and terrifying at the same time.
There is no official information about what is residing under that sculpted hood, but if you ask me, the prototype found in the following video doesn’t sound like it sports a supercharger like the current Mustang Shelby GT 500. On the other hand, the addition of turbochargers would have drowned that glorious sound…
The other mystery in the video below revolves around the second Mustang prototype spotted by TouriClips on the Green Hell, as it seems to sport a much more understated exterior and its exhaust note is a bit less guttural. Either way, even without any official info, the soundtrack alone is completely worth it.
