In a report that will probably make a happy camper out of a certain James May, it is mentioned that the top-selling Dacia dealership in the UK, Ness Motors Inverness, has just reached no less than 1,000 Dacia sales.
The news comes about a year and a half since Dacia has been officially available in the United Kingdom and about a month since the Romanian car brand sold its 25,000th car in the country.
Somewhat interestingly, the new owners of the 1,000th Dacia sold by Ness Motors Inverness are not at their first, with Linda and John Brotherston already driving a Sandero Stepway and a Duster. An all-new Sandero Stepway was apparently bought for their daughter to drive in what is now probably the most Dacia-centric family in the UK.
“They do everything they want in a car but cost a lot less than other options. They like the straightforward approach of function over frivolity. As both Linda and John will be retiring soon both the Dacia Duster and Dacia Sandero Stepway provide them with the right cost of motoring. The fact it is a Renault engine under the hood provides additional peace of mind,” said Scott Lauder, Chairman, Ness Motors Inverness.
Launder presented the couple with a celebratory bottle of champagne and a 1,000 pounds cheque to donate to a charity of their choice, courtesy of Renault UK Marketing Director, Mihai Bordeanu.
