Fiat debuted a surf-themed concept car called 500L-Vans during this past weekend at the Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California.
Based on the 500L minivan, the 500L-Vans design study features details from Vans original hi-top shoe, including vintage palm-patterned canvas, Vans logo stickers on the instrument panel and Vans Waffle Sole on the pedals and in storage bins.
The exterior of the car features the Vans Checkerboard pattern on the roof, while the step pad, cladding and grille texture are accented with the Waffle Sole design. Other distinctive features include a two-tone body color paint scheme, 18-inch matte black wheels and a roof rack with a basket and a double-decker surfboard carrier.
Fiat didn’t say anything about building the 500L-Vans, but some of the accessories featured on the concept will likely be offered as aftermarket items for owners of the 500L.
