How far can certain drivers go if someone attempts to change lanes and get in front of them – perhaps a blip on the horn and a nod of the head, you say? Well, obviously, you haven’t been paying attention to our Offbeat News section…
Tom Parise was driving around town near Pacific Beach in California last week when he was involved in a road rage incident after merging into the left lane in front of a Ford truck. Parise had fitted his car with two cameras, one pointing forward and the other behind, capturing the moment on film, which he then shared online.
The reason why Parise changed sides on the road was that his lane was about to become a right turn only lane and he needed to go straight, but apparently, that didn’t sit well with the couple in the Ford.
“All of a sudden, he comes right up to my bumper and slams on his horn and slams on his brakes and then we kept going and I was like, ‘OK, I think that’s all he’s going to do,” Parise told KGTV. “I had plenty of room to get in front of him,” he said. “It’s not like I drove them off the road. They just went bonkers.”
The Ford driver started throwing what look like coins at Praise’s car and then, a woman jumps out of the passenger seat and starts taking pictures of his license plates.
“She stood in the middle of the street screaming obscenities,” said Parise. “I was attacked from the moment she walked up.”
