Arguably, the ultimate villain in Sci-Fi, Star Wars’ Darth Vader, will finally get his own automobile, after countless car writers in history have tried to pin the helmet-wearing Sith Lord into a number of evil-looking cars in order to describe their fiendish exterior design.
Created by Hot Wheels first as a toy, a life-sized variant of the Darth Vader Car was recently revealed in its dark flesh at the ongoing 2014 edition of the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).
Powered by an LS3 engine with a very adequate 526 horsepower, the car is completely operational, although we think that driver that aren’t that fit will have a bit of trouble getting inside.
As you can see, the overall look is that of a flattened Darth Vader mask on wheels, and it seems that the vehicle also comes equipped with heavy breathing sounds like the Supreme Commander in Chief himself.
In case you are like most people, you probably won’t get to see it in person at Comic-Con, which is why Hot Wheels have also created a die-cast car for the Star Wars franchise, while an entire line of toys will be released in the Fall.
The horsepower and evil looks are certainly strong with this one though, aren’t they?
