The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate may be stylish, but it’s still an estate and that means one of its main qualities has to be practicality.
To further improve the C-Class Estate in this respect, Mercedes-Benz has released a series of Genuine Accessories that will be available when the new estate launches in September across Europe.
Mercedes-Benz offers a rear-mounted bicycle rack for the trailer coupling that can hold up from two to three cycles. Its practical design allows users to open the load compartment when the rack is in place, with the accessory also folding for space-saving stowage.
For those who would rather transport their equipment on the roof of the car, the Easy-Fix basic carrier bars for roof rails can be combined with the ski and snowboard rack, as well as the New Alustyle bicycle rack.
The Style & Travel Equipment range of accessories consists mainly of items for the C-Class Estate’s rear compartment. Among these, a basic support, clamped between the posts of the front head restraints acts as a holder for further accessories. For example, the support can be combined with a coat hanger that can be removed separately. Other accessories are a folding table that not only folds, but also is height- and angle- adjustable, and bag hooks that can be used to hang up personal accessories such as handbags and other items weighing up to 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs).
Mercedes-Benz also offers styling accessories including a front apron spoiler lip and a roof spoiler, two-piece exterior mirror housings in black, the illuminated Mercedes star (available for vehicles with a centrally positioned star emblem) and a host of 16-inch, 17-inch, 18-inch and 19-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, sports pedals made of polished stainless steel as well as illuminated door sill panel add style to the C-Class Estate.
