The Porsche 911 is the default sports car; it’s such a solid and competent machine (most of the time, at least) that you can see it virtually anywhere.
In the sports car world, owning a 911 is a bit like owning a VW Golf, which is why people are willing to pay lots of money to personalize their cars or better, to get their hands on limited-edition models – the more limited, the better.
This is in fact the logic behind Porsche Exclusive, the in-house producer of tailor-made Porsche vehicles. One of the special 911s built by Porsche Exclusive is the Brumos Porsche Carrera GTS B59 Edition, for which the customizing division collaborated with Porsche Cars North America and Brumos Porsche of Jacksonville in Florida.
This unique model pays tribute to Hurley Haywood, the racer who took the checkered flag for Porsche at the Daytona 24 Hours four times in the 1970s and once again in 1991.
Porsche Exclusive only built five B59s based on the 997 generation, with the following video tracking down all of them and their enthusiastic owners.
