Jane Sandalls, a young woman from Oxfordshire, UK, died at the age of 26 in a crash while she was driving her petit Peugeot 106 hatch back in 2010, when she collided head-on with a new and inexperienced driver who didn’t adapt his speed to low grip conditions. Now, at roughly the exact same spot where the tragic event took place, Top Gear was spotted filming a staged crash between two… Peugeots.

According to the Daily Mail, Clarkson and May, both of whom were driving Pugs for a piece that will be included in the upcoming season that airs later this year, crash their cars into one another, then assess the damage. May’s car, a silver 407, needs to be taken away from the scene on a truck, while Clarkson’s black 307 CC is pulled out of the field and is ready to go.

The fact they chose that very location to stage the crash has now sparked outrage and made people call them ‘insensitive.’ Obviously, even though no Top Gear representatives have commented in an official manner as of yet, you can expect their reaction to be one completely devoid of malice, even though their actions do potentially hint at something else.

But what do you think? Is this just an unfortunate coincidence that is making them look bad or was their intention to specifically shoot at that very location to prove some kind of ridiculous point?
