The LS2V8 you usually find powering Corvettes has found its way under the hoods of cars far less suitable than this 1987 Morgan Plus 8.
This car, advertised for $80,000 in Copake, NY, has just 2,600 miles on the odometer since the swap and we can only assume it’s really fast with that kind of power coupled to its lightweight construction.
Nothing betrays this car as having had its engine swapped, though it is riding on non-stock rims that don’t really suit it.
The paint looks good, the interior is very tidy and the surprise on people’s faces when you pop the bonnet and they see what it hides will lessen the blow of spending eighty grand on a thirty-year old car.
