Shortly after announcing pricing for the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado pickup, GM has released prices for the vehicle’s GMC twin, the 2015 Canyon.
As expected, the GMC Canyon has a slightly higher starting price of $21,880, including a $925 dealer freight charge. That makes it almost $900 more expensive than the base 2015 Colorado.
The 2015 Canyon’s standard equipment includes the 2.5-liter I-4 direct injected engine rated at 200 horsepower, LED lighting, four-way power driver’s seat, CornerStep rear bumper, and 16-inch aluminum wheels.
GMC also offers better-equipped models like the SLE, which starts from $27,520 (for the 2WD extended cab), and brings aluminum interior trim, soft-touch instrument panel and door pads, EZ-lift and lower tailgate, eight-inch diagonal color-touch radio with Intellilink, and OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot with a three-month or 3 GB trial (whichever comes first).
Further up the range is the 4WD Canyon SLT crew cab short box model that starts at $37,875 and includes a 3.6L V6 engine with 305 horsepower, leather-appointed seating, automatic climate control, 18-inch polished cast-aluminum wheels, remote start and an automatic locking rear differential.
Optional extras include a six-speed automatic transmission, Bose premium seven-speaker audio system and the GearOn accessory solution.
Customers can choose between multiple cab and bed configurations, including extended cab models with a 6-foot 2-inch box, or crew cab models with either the 6-foot 2-inch or a 5-foot 2-inch box.
The 2015 Canyon arrives in GMC dealerships this fall.
