As you have heard, Audi owns Ducati, so the folks from Auto Express thought that is a good enough reason to stage a track battle between the most powerful products from each brand – the Audi RS6 and the Ducati 1199 Panigale R.
The Audi RS6 is powered by a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 producing 560 hp, while the Ducati 1199 Panigale R is motivated by a 1.2-liter V-Twin engine delivering 195 hp. The Audi may have almost three times more power than the bike, but it also weighs ten times more at around 2 tonnes.
The publication staged a drag race between the two high performance machines and then a track battle to see which would be quicker. With 1,032 hp per tonne for the Ducati and 289 hp per tonne for the Audi, this duel shouldn’t bring any surprises…
Head past the jump for the video to find out whether the bike can turn its weight advantage into victory.
