It’s a good idea, if you live in a crowded city with limited parking, to have a folding bicycle in the trunk of your car. You know – for those moments when you’re better off leaving your vehicle some ways away from where you need to go.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a folding bicycle, but it’s by far the most straightforward alternate means of getting around that comes to mind and is compact. However, this new electric unicycle-Segway-cross called “Urban Glider” would be even better.
Currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, it’s already three quarters of the way to its goal, and judging by the kind of action shown in the short presentation video, we totally get why people backed this.
It looks a bit tricky to master, but it seems to be built to take a beating and it probably does most of the balance work for you, as does the regular Segway that’s been around for years.
The expected price for when it’s done (and the minimum amount you can pledge now is $1,000), but it’s definitely not the worst way to part with your cash – the presentation page promises to start shipping them out before Christmas.
