Through the latest batch of (unofficial) gameplay videos posted after the release of the second beta version of The Crew, we can now see more of what the final game will be like.
Its story is one involving street racing crews (as you’d expect) that engage in mid-level illegal ops and just generally reckless driving in places you wouldn’t expect.
It’s not really a Forza Horizon 2 rival, in that it strays away a heck of a lot from being a simulator (too much for some people), despite the fact that the two seem similar. The only real common points between the two are the big open world, online nature and wide choice of cars which you can customize – aside from these, the titles are very different and address different audiences.
If fun over physics is what you’re looking for in an MMO racing game, then The Crew will be for you. If not, then either DriveClub or Horizon 2 will be much more to your liking.
