Whenever an L is added after the name of an executive sedan, you know that car is headed for China. The latest model to be stretched for the PRC is the new Infiniti Q50 which was just revealed via one official shot.
It’s a side profile photo showing a car that’s 48 mm or 1.9 inches longer than the regular Q50. The model will be available exclusively in mainland China, and it will be the first ever Infiniti to be locally built.
Apparently, the only engine it will be made available with is the 2.0-liter four-pot turbo, with 211 hp, with all the power going to the rear wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission.
The Q50L’s main selling points are expected to be its styling and its tech-savvy nature – the plan is to sell it with as much gadgetry as possible, including a new 14-speaker Bose sound system.
