Lexus has announced a new RX 450h Advanced edition for the UK that ups the sound ante with the addition of a Mark Levinson premium 7.1 audio system. It also gains a new set of machined and shaded 19-inch alloy wheels.
The good news for buyers is that, despite the addition of the £1,000 surround sound system that comes with 15 speakers, including a 200mm subwoofer, the price tag for the latest 450h Advanced Edition remains unchanged at £48,495.
It retains all the other standard features of its predecessor, including a DVD player rear-view camera, the Remote Touch audio and navigation control system, dual-zone climate control, leather seats, LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors and the choice of an electric sunroof or fixed panoramic roof.
Exterior color options are limited to Velvet Black, Arctic Pearl, Mercury Grey, Satin Silver, and Celestial Black, which can be combined with ivory, light grey, black or saddle tan leather for the cabin.
The 450h Advanced employs Lexus’ hybrid powertrain comprising a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline unit and an electric motor with a maximum output of 295bhp, which returns 44.8mpg UK and 145g/km of CO2.
