BMW‘s second generation X6 will reach U.S. dealerships this fall in two flavors, with prices starting from $61,900 plus another $950 (*) for destination and handling charges.
That will get you into the 2016 BMW X6 xDrive35i with a 300hp 3.0-liter turbocharged-six gasoline engine paired to an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive for a 0-60mph sprint in 6.0 seconds.
If you want something faster – at least on a straight line – there’s the $72,900 X6 (plus destination) xDrive50i with a 445hp turbo 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 that shoots to 60mph from standstill in 4.8 seconds. It also has a standard 8-speed auto and all-wheel drive.
While the Bavarians have not yet announced pricing, the range will also include the rear-wheel drive only X6 sDrive35i with the same 300hp straight-six as the xDrive35i.
The xDrive35i and the xDrive50i will be available in base, xLine (+$2,500) and M Sport ($3,500) trim grades.
