Copy the video review of the new Citroen C1, cut and paste a Peugeot fascia onto the front of it and you get your impressions of the 108.
It comes down to personal preference for either of the two looks, since mechanically and in terms of spec they are identical.
That means you get the same maneuvrability in town, excellent efficiency and pleasing aesthetics, but at the cost of poor motorway manners and not the best of handling on twisty roads; the last two areas are much better catered for by the VW group offerings in the sector.
Overall, Carbuyer likes the 108, though it is marked out as a car that’s not perfect and one you buy if you fancy the way it looks and can live with its shortcomings.
One thing owners of the old model will find dramatically improved is the availability of kit – the 108 now even offers a retractable textile top and keyless entry among the top spec options, along with the mandatory touchscreen infotainment unit.
