If this is indeed the Maybach version of the new Mercedes S-Class, and it probably is, judging by the extended distance between its axles and odd spot to place camo, then it’s being tested for the kind of driving it will most likely never do.

This partly camouflaged prototype was spotted by TouriClips hurting its tires around the Nurburgring, taking corners faster than any dictator’s hat should ever have to be forced to bare…

The extra length is more clearly visible now, since this particular prototype has a lot less camo than what we had previously seen. It appears that not only are the rear doors longer, but it seems that the back seat is set even further back – there’s a good chance Mercedes has opted to hide rear occupants’ heads behind the C-pillar.

They’d do so in order to offer a similar experience to what Rolls Royce Phantom and Bentley Mulsanne passengers are being treated to.

Dynamics-wise, it’s obviously not a nimble handler, and it actually looks a bit slow around the Ring, and with that long wheelbase it may be more prone to understeer.
