While not excessively abundant at this year’s GamesCom event, car-related games were shown.
However, no premieres were announced at all, and all we got were more trailers and screenshots of games we already know (pretty well, actually) and ones that are on the verge of being released anyway, like The Crew.
The premise for the game, you already know, as well as some of the details like the massive free-roam map or the extensive customization and personalization options for the cars. In this latest trailer, emphasis is placed on just how diverse the driving environments are in the realistic but shrunken US map that plays host to the game’s action.
For instance, a drive through Nappa Valley, in California, will most likely yield some kind of (off-road alternate) path through vineyards, while a trip through Chicago will make you feel like you’re playing Watch Dogs, but without the gadgets – it’s the kind of place where you always seem to be chased by the cops…
