Creating a transparent valve cover seems like an interesting, novel idea.
Nowadays, all cars have opaque valve covers made out of metal that hide the valves themselves and keep them from splattering oil everywhere. Some older engines didn’t even have valve covers at all to begin with, or air actual filters for that matter and were evidently cooler to see spinning.
Internal combustion engines are cool specifically because they are complicated and feature hundreds of parts that need to work in unison for them to run properly. Not all parts that make up the engine are necessarily interesting to watch, though, but the valves in action definitely are.
The transparent valve cover you see in the video below is fitted to a small block Chevy V8.
