The most powerful BMW M5 ever made, the “30 Jahre M5” limited edition, is also the most powerful model currently built by BMW M GmbH.
With 600PS (592hp) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, the limited edition M5 is very easy to drift – some hardcore enthusiasts would say that is precisely what it was built for.
BMW wanted to demonstrate the M5’s willingness to play with a powersliding session on Munich’s iconic Olympic Stadium. With a monumental torque like that, getting the anniversary M5 to slide is easier, as you can see in the official video posted below.
As a reminder, the M5 “30 Jahre M5” sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds, 0.4 seconds quicker than the regular M5. It reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), which can be unlocked to 305 km/h (190 mph) if the optional M Driver’s Package is selected.
