Compared to its predecessor, the BMW 1-Series Convertible, I have to say the 2-Series Convertible looks sleeker and more refined, while also being slightly more practical.

The car features an “acoustic” soft top, which is said to reduce noise inside the cabin. It can be opened or closed in 20 seconds, even while driving at up to 50 km/h (30 mph). Furthermore, the roof takes less space in the boot than in the case of the 1-Series Convertible.

When the roof is open, the boot can accommodate 280 liters (9.9 cu-ft) of luggage, with the volume increasing to 335 liters (11.8 cu-ft) when the top is closed. That’s up to 30 liters more than what the previous model offered.

If the 2-Series Convertible offers driving dynamics that are comparable to its coupe sibling, I think the folks from BMW have another winner in their hands.
