Since Chevrolet sells more Tahoe and Suburban SUVs in Texas than in any other state, GM decided to pays homage to The Lone Star State with two special edition models.
Going on sale next month, the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban Texas Editions feature exclusive badging and are offered in LT or LTZ trims. The special edition models also get a special package of options for $2,195 for the LT and $1,095 for the LTZ, in addition to the SUVs’ retail prices.
This special package includes a 3.42 axle ratio and trailer brake controller in addition to the standard hitch receiver and seven-wire harness, 20-inch polished aluminum wheels on LT models or 22-inch premium painted aluminum wheels on LTZ models, additional nine-month subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio and navigation radio on LT models (already standard on LTZ.)
“Texas is Chevy truck country and the new Tahoe and Suburban Texas Editions celebrate that passion like Friday night football. These SUVs are part of the very fabric of Texas life,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Marketing.
The Tahoe and Suburban saw combined retail sales rise 37 percent for the first eight months of 2014 in Texas. Built at the Arlington Assembly plant in Texas since 2000, the Tahoe and Suburban had their best retail month in six years this August.
