Ferrari pretty much owes its existence to the success it’s had and keeps having in the United States. The brand has a bigger and more fanatical following there than anywhere else in the world, and now the Americans’ loyalty will be acknowledged yet again by a purported new limited series model designed to mark the six decades of Ferrari sales in the US.
Apparently, only ten examples will be built, though that’s pretty much all we know as of yet. AutoExpress says Ferrari’s now ex-chairman de Montezemolo stated that, “to celebrate Ferrari’s 60th year in the USA, we have developed a special car of which just 10 examples will be built, in addition to planning a major event in Los Angeles to bring together all our American clients and collectors, and a charity initiative.”
The announcement coincides with Ferrari’s best sales year ever – they may have sold fewer cars than last year, but their revenues went up by 14.5 percent.
As you can imagine, this one should be good – expect to see it unveiled at a special venue held specifically for the occasion, on October 12, in Lost Angeles, California.
