Oh, the joy of building up internet-hype for a brand new model; the only problem with Fiat’s 500X small crossover is that the Italians had…actually previewed it more than two years ago.
The tall-hatchback that is a sister model to the new Jeep Renegade was shown in pre-production form to the press in Italy during the presentation of the related Fiat 500L minivan.
Fiat’s red-clothed teaser confirms that the production car won’t change much, if at all, from the car we saw back in in July of 2012.
Whereas Jeep’s bolder Renegade edges more towards SUVs with increased off-road abilities, Fiat’s 500X will be on the softer crossover side.
The 500X will have its world debut at the 2014 Paris Auto Show in the beginning of October.
