Even though it’s probably a formula with some potential behind it, you won’t see a C-MAX ST – sorry folks. Maybe it would, by the way of aggressive sportiness, inject some verve into the compact MPV sector, where the (freshly facelifted) Ford C-Max resides.
This ST variant, a rendering in the usual style of X-Tomi, is deeply appealing, but only to the petrolhead inside. For the family man looking at such a vehicle, but maybe requiring a bit more go than the C-Max engine range has to offer, would very easily just switch and get a Ford Focus ST estate (a car that actually exists and now comes with a pokey diesel too).
In fact, if Ford were to hypothetically make this C-Max ST (which they won’t) it’d be best suited to taking its power from the same diesel mill that power the Focus ST.
The author of the rendering suggests this could go up against the VW Golf Sportsvan GTI. Does that exist and/or are they likely to make one? Nope.
