Kia has applied a discreet makeover to its Venga for the 2015 model year, with the small MPV receiving a new face and equipment upgrades.

Debuting at the Paris Auto Show this week, the refreshed Venga gets similar updates as the Rio supermini. At the front, the MPV has received a larger “tiger-nose grille” with a separate, repositioned Kia badge, as well as a restyled lower grille with combined fog lights and LED daytime running lights.

Viewed from the rear, the 2015 Kia Venga gains a horizontal chrome trim that unites the taillights, which now feature redesigned clusters with LED technology. The MPV also gets new designs for the larger 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Updates to the cabin include a darker metal trim with bright accents, a choice of two new seat trims, and a new center-stack fascia. New options include a heated steering wheel and the new generation of Kia’s AVN (audio-video navigation) system with a 7-inch display screen, rear-view camera, improved processing speed and faster route calculation.

Depending on the market, the 2015 Venga will be offered with a choice of up to six 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter gasoline and diesel engines, with outputs ranging from 77PS (76hp) to 128PS (126hp). Available transmissions include five- or six-speed manuals or a four-speed auto. All engines comply with Euro 5 emission standards and are available with the Start/Stop (ISG) technology. Kia says ISG-equipped models have a CO2 rating from just 114 g/km (models equipped with the 1.4-litre U2 diesel engine).

Built exclusively at Kia’s Žilina plant in Slovakia, the refreshed Kia Venga will go on sale across Europe in early 2015.
