This time, the Guinea pig is the all-new Land Rover Discovery Sport, the highly anticipated replacement for the Freelander.
First impressions are good, obviously, as it’s a very different (and slightly bigger) proposition compared to the model it replaces. It comes with a seemingly high quality interior, that looks good and probably feels it too and the promise of lower weight and better economy/dynamics to boot.
Claims about the latter will only be put to the test once test drives become available, but it will definitely be more efficient than the Freelander.
