A London commuter has proven that he can run at least as fast as the London Underground, leaving a train at one station only to catch it at the next one.
30-year-old James Heptonstall ran 380 meters (1,247 feet) from Mansion House to Cannon Street station while wearing a GoPro camera on his head to film the entire race. Meanwhile, his friend remained in the carriage for the same journey with his camera on, waiting to see if James could make it.
As you will see in the video posted below, Heptonstall got back on the train just as it was preparing to leave the station. He completed the distance in 80 seconds, with the route also including 75 steps and two ticket barriers.
An open touch rugby player for England, Heptonstall said he chose a section of the Tube network that had a small number of steps and a short distance between the stations in order to make the challenge possible. Scroll down to watch the unusual race.
