The Mini 5 Door is not quite new anymore, as it was revealed in early June, nevertheless its world debut takes place at the Paris Auto Show next month.
To mark the occasion, Mini has released a new photo gallery of the new model shot on the streets of Paris near the city’s major landmarks. The British brand also announced that it will bring the Superleggera Vision concept to the Paris Auto Show, first revealed in May at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
The all-new Mini 5 Door offers expanded space for occupants and luggage, thanks to its longer wheelbase (+72mm/2.83in) compared to the three-door Hatch. At 278 liters (9.82 cu-ft), boot volume is also around 30 percent larger, but it can be expanded to as much as 941 liters (33.2 cu-ft) when the rear backrest is folded.
At launch, the Mini 5 Door will be available with six engines with three or four cylinders, covering an output range from 95PS (94hp) to 192PS (189hp).
As for the Superleggera Vision concept, built by Mini and Italian coachbuilder Touring Superleggera, its design and concept focus on driving fun and aesthetic appeal. Crafted by hand, the Mini Superleggera Vision represents a modern interpretation of a classic open-top two-seater which combines British style and Italian flair. The beautiful study is rumored to spawn a production model in the near future.
